Plastics Project
Pollution from single-use plastics harms our planet, our wildlife, and our own health. Much of this pollution comes from plastic items we don't need in our lives at all - from plastic grocery bags to polystyrene (aka Styrofoam) takeout food containers. The plastics project aims to push forward both local and statewide legislation to ban single-use plastic bags. Currently, we are focused on forming key partnerships with other organizations, such as ANJEC and the Plastic Pollution Coalition, & taking action for a state plastics bill to pass through the state Assembly.

About The Event
Join the Plastics Project, Artistic Activism, and Ecobricks’ teams Recycled Arts workshop THIS SUNDAY at 3pm!
🌱First up will be the speaker event where Lisa Bagwell, a sculptor who works with trash and single-use plastic to make art, who will be giving a presentation on her process and her inspiration. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation for anyone who has any questions for her! 🌱The second segment of our workshop will be a short project we’ll do together as a group. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of projects including coffee art painting, snack bag bag, a water bottle planter, and paper mache. 🌱The final part of our workshop will be a display of the artwork we have been working, whether from past sessions or this workshop.
