Amelia Abruscato (she/her)

College Representative & Eco-Bricks Project Lead

Drew University - Class of 2024

Amelia Abruscato is a sophomore at Drew University from South Jersey. Within the NJSCC, she holds the roles of the College Representative and also the Eco-Bricks Project Coordinator. She has been into environmentalism since high school, volunteering within the school’s greenhouse and cleaning up trash around her community. Entering college and with the world enduring the pandemic, she became more aware of sustainability, climate change, and nature conservancy. When she joined NJSCC in 2021, she joined the eco-bricks project and began creating her own eco-bricks and educating herself more on the concept. Within Drew University, Amelia is a double major in Physics and Environmental Science. She is the Outreach Manager for the Drew Environmental Action League and she is also the Activities Manager for Drew University's Chapter of Society of Physics Students. She is a part of the Action Scholars at Drew where the students learn about and engage in the community, innovation, and global impact. She is working on a project with another Action Scholar to bring more sustainable practices on campus such as eco-bricking. She is also the manager of Healthy Planet, Health Humans, a Drew Civic Scholar’s project from 2021. In her spare time, she loves to go out and explore nature and take care of her cohort of plants indoors and outdoors! Feel free to contact her at aabruscato@drew.edu
